Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established provider of children's residential services for an experienced Responsible Individual. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to oversee high-quality residential care services, support Registered Managers, and drive continuous improvement across multiple children's homes.

You will work closely with operational teams, external agencies, and senior stakeholders to maintain excellent standards of care while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

You will work closely with operational teams, external agencies, and senior stakeholders to maintain excellent standards of care while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight across children's residential homes.
- Support, supervise, and develop Registered Managers.
- Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Lead on service quality, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections.
- Monitor performance through Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 reporting.
- Develop and implement improvement plans following inspections and audits.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, health professionals, education providers, and other partner agencies.
- Promote outstanding safeguarding practice and positive outcomes for children and young people.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 12 months' proven senior leadership experience across children's residential services.
- Experience supervising Registered Managers and overseeing practice across children's homes.
- In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, including:
- Regulation 26 – Fitness of the Responsible Individual
- Regulation 13 – Leadership and Management
- The Quality Standards
- Strong knowledge of the SCCIF inspection framework and Ofsted expectations.
- Experience responding to Ofsted inspections and implementing successful action plans.
- Experience using Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 monitoring processes to drive continuous service improvement.
- Good understanding of multi-agency working, including health, education, SEND, and therapeutic services.
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships and improve placement stability for children with complex needs.
- Competitive salary of £60,702 per annum
