Pay Rate:

• £38.99 per hour umbrella
• £34.26 PAYE (inclusive)
• £30.57 PAYE (exclusive)

Job Overview Service Care Solutions are recruiting an experienced Safeguarding Children Social Worker (Grade 10) to join a Children and Families team within a Local Authority based in Ellesmere Port. This is a frontline safeguarding role working with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns and requires a confident and experienced practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory safeguarding work including Child Protection and Child in Need cases
• Complete assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 & 2004
• Manage a caseload of children and families with complex safeguarding concerns
• Prepare high-quality assessments, plans, and reports
• Attend and contribute to Child Protection Conferences, Core Groups, and Reviews
• Develop, implement, and review care and protection plans
• Undertake risk assessments and respond effectively to safeguarding issues
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies including Health, Police, Education, and Early Help
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and training

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker
• Registered with Social Work England
• Recent Children’s Social Work experience within a Local Authority
• Strong experience in safeguarding and child protection
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
• Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
