SEN Teacher - Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN.
- Adapt teaching approaches, resources, and activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
- Manage classroom behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and individual learning plans.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Support pupils with their learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons and activities.
- Help create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Follow individual learning plans and support strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
