About the Roles We are currently recruiting for a variety of SEN Teacher and SEN Teaching Assistant positions across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. We are looking to speak with passionate, patient, and dedicated education professionals who are committed to supporting children and young people with special educational needs.

We have opportunities available across a range of specialist and mainstream settings, with both short-term and longer-term positions available.

SEN Teacher – Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching approaches, resources, and activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and individual learning plans.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and other professionals.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support pupils with their learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons and activities.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Follow individual learning plans and support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
The Pupils You may be supporting children and young people with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism / ASD
  • ADHD
  • Speech and language needs
  • Moderate or severe learning difficulties
  • Social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Behavioural needs
  • Complex and additional learning needs
  • Communication difficulties
Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable, although we are also interested in hearing from candidates with transferable experience who are passionate about working in specialist education.
