Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council.
Location: Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella) / £29.80 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: 3-month ongoing contract

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional Occupational Therapy services in line with local authority policies, national legislation, and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) 4 Pillars
- Undertake complex, strength-based and person-centred assessments in collaboration with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Functional assessments
- Manual handling risk assessments
- Postural and seating assessments
- Environmental assessments
- Safeguarding enquiries
- Maximise independence
- Improve quality of life for service users and carers
- Develop and monitor SMART goals to support outcome-focused interventions
- Hospital discharge planning
- Step-down and reablement pathways
- Community-based interventions
- Prevent hospital admissions
- Enable safe and timely discharges
- Support individuals transitioning back to independent living
- Assess and support individuals with long-term conditions, recommending specialist equipment and adaptations where required
Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience managing complex caseloads within social care/community settings
- Strong knowledge of manual handling, equipment provision, and housing adaptations
- Ability to work collaboratively across agencies
- £200 referral bonus
- £150 sign-up bonus
