Senior Occupational Therapist – Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (Contract)

Are you a qualified Senior Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting contract opportunity in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead? Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council for a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team for an initial 2-week contract, with potential for extension. This is an excellent chance to deliver high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy services within a dynamic local authority setting.

Job Details:

• Position: Senior Occupational Therapist
• Location: Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
• Contract Length: 2 weeks (initial), with chance to extend
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Pay Rate: £38 per hour (Umbrella) / £29.80 per hour (PAYE)
• Type: Contract

Candidate Responsibilities:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy and Reablement services in line with local authority policies, legislation, and RCOT guidelines
• Managing a complex caseload that involves high-risk, contentious, and diverse cases
• Conducting strength-based, person-centred assessments such as functional, manual handling, postural, seating, environmental assessments, and safeguarding enquiries
• Recommending equipment and home adaptations to maximize independence and improve the quality of life for service users and carers
• Developing and monitoring SMART goals to inform outcome-focused interventions
• Facilitating hospital discharge planning, step-down, and reablement pathways
• Supporting community-based interventions aimed at prevention, safe discharge, and transition back to independence
• Working collaboratively across health and social care services to support individuals with long-term conditions, including specialist equipment and adaptations
