The RoleAs a Senior Social Worker, you will:
- Manage a complex caseload of children in care and care leavers.
- Complete statutory visits, assessments, care planning and pathway planning.
- Develop and review care plans that promote the safety, wellbeing and long-term aspirations of children and young people.
- Support young people as they transition to independence, ensuring they receive the guidance and services they need.
- Work in partnership with families, carers, education providers, health professionals and partner agencies.
- Prepare high-quality court reports, assessments and case records.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory legislation, local procedures and best practice standards.
- Champion the voice of the child and ensure their wishes and feelings remain central to all decision-making.
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working within Children's Social Care.
- Previous experience working with Children in Care and/or Care Leavers.
- Strong knowledge of relevant children's legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent assessment, report writing and case management skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
