Pay Rate: £24.95 per hour PAYE (£31.74 per hour Umbrella)
Senior Social Worker - Children in Care & Care LeaversService Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join Newcastle City Council's Children in Care & Care Leavers Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children in care and young people transitioning into adulthood. You'll play a vital role in helping young people achieve positive outcomes by delivering high-quality statutory social work services and building strong, supportive relationships.
The RoleAs a Senior Social Worker, you will:

• Manage a complex caseload of children in care and care leavers.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, care planning and pathway planning.
• Develop and review care plans that promote the safety, wellbeing and long-term aspirations of children and young people.
• Support young people as they transition to independence, ensuring they receive the guidance and services they need.
• Work in partnership with families, carers, education providers, health professionals and partner agencies.
• Prepare high-quality court reports, assessments and case records.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory legislation, local procedures and best practice standards.
• Champion the voice of the child and ensure their wishes and feelings remain central to all decision-making.

Essential RequirementsApplicants must have:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience working within Children's Social Care.
• Previous experience working with Children in Care and/or Care Leavers.
• Strong knowledge of relevant children's legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent assessment, report writing and case management skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
