Senior Social Worker - Fostering (Contract)
Are you an experienced Senior Social Worker seeking a rewarding contract opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Foster Wales Swansea team on a 2-week contract, with the potential for extension up to 6 months. This is an excellent chance to utilise your skills in fostering and quality assurance within a supportive, dynamic team environment.
About the Senior Social Worker - Fostering Role
As the Senior Social Worker - Fostering, you will be responsible for delivering critical services including Quality Assurance, Form F Supervisions, and Annual Reviews. Based in the historic Guildhall in Swansea, this role offers a flexible work arrangement, with staff working in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and the remaining days working remotely.
Candidate Responsibilities for the Senior Social Worker - Fostering
- Conducting Quality Assurance assessments and ensuring compliance
- Leading Form F Supervisions for fostering households
- Facilitating Annual Reviews to monitor and support foster carers
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes
- Ensuring all activities meet statutory and agency standards
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and young people
Candidate Requirements for the Senior Social Worker - Fostering
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Hold a valid driver’s license and own transport
- Proven experience as a Social Worker, ideally within fostering or children’s services
- Strong understanding of fostering regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
