Social Worker – Children’s Duty & Assessment (First Response Service)

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Nottingham City Council for an experienced Social Worker to join their Children’s Duty and Assessment Service within the First Response Service.

The Role
As a Social Worker within the First Response Service, you will work in the Duty Assessment Service, ensuring that children and families receive the right support at the right time through strengths based assessments. You will be responsible for responding to referrals, completing statutory assessments, and progressing cases in line with legislation and local thresholds.

Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience within a Children’s Duty and Assessment or First Response Service
- Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks
- Experience completing Section 17 and Section 47 assessments
- Ability to manage a fast paced caseload effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The right to work in the UK
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
