Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a dynamic opportunity within our client Safeguarding Team? We are seeking a Social Worker A&C - Safeguarding Team for a 2-week contract to help deliver vital safeguarding services in a fast-paced environment. About the Role:

As a Social Worker A&C - Safeguarding Team, your main responsibility will be to ensure a consistent and timely approach to safeguarding adults, focusing on making safeguarding personal. Your key duties will include conducting short-term interventions (usually within 3 working days), identifying and addressing immediate risks, and establishing outcomes with service users in line with Making Safeguarding Personal principles.

You will be responsible for applying safeguarding thresholds, working closely with individuals involved in safeguarding concerns, and holding strategy meetings to establish the best course of action. You’ll also assess capacity, make best interest decisions when needed, and coordinate multi-agency working to ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults.

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Provide short-term safeguarding interventions (typically 3 working days)
  • Apply safeguarding thresholds and identify risks
  • Engage with service users to establish desired outcomes
  • Conduct mental capacity assessments and best interest decisions when necessary
  • Gather information regarding care involvement and coordinate multi-agency responses
  • Hold strategy meetings or discussions to plan next steps
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively within a dedicated team of social workers and team managers

Candidate Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England
  • Knowledge of social work methodologies, including person-centred approaches and asset-based social work
  • Familiarity with legislation such as The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act
  • Experience in effective assessment, risk management, and multi-agency collaboration
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work proactively and as part of a team
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills
  • Valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle
