We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker (Bcft Dfe) to join the Placement Coordination Service in Bradford. About the Role:

As a Social Worker (Bcft Dfe), you will be responsible for coordinating placements for children referred into the service. Working under the guidance and supervision of the Team Manager and Service Manager, your main focus will be to find safe, affordable, and high-quality placements that promote the best interests of children. You will be integral to a busy, demand-led service that prides itself on collaboration, professionalism, and a child-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker (Bcft Dfe) include:

• Working closely with providers, internal services, and social work teams to identify and secure suitable placements
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with placement providers, the commissioning team, and the contracts and quality team
• Ensuring all placements meet safety, quality, and affordability criteria
• Supporting children throughout their placement journey, ensuring their needs are prioritized
• Working collaboratively within the team, sharing best practices and supporting peers
• Documenting and maintaining accurate records in compliance with policies and procedures

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work)
• Current registration with Social Work England
• Proven experience in children and families or placements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

Benefits:

• Salary: £38,220 - £46,142 per annum
• Additional Retention Payment: £3000
• Contract type: Contract
• Based at: Sir Henry Mitchell House, Bradford
