Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker seeking a rewarding opportunity within Children's Services? We are currently recruiting for a Social Worker - Children's position with the our client on a short-term contract basis. About the Role - Social Worker - Children's

As a Social Worker - Children's, you will be integral to the MASH Team 4, providing vital support and safeguarding for vulnerable children and young people. This role involves assessing needs, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children within the community. The position is a maternity cover contract lasting 2 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on operational requirements.

Candidate Responsibilities - Social Worker - Children's

  • Conduct assessments of children and families referred to the service
  • Develop and implement tailored care and intervention plans
  • Liaise effectively with multisector agencies, including health services and law enforcement
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Document and maintain accurate case records
  • Participate in regular team meetings and review cases to ensure best practice
  • Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues and families
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and confidentiality

Candidate Skills & Requirements - Social Worker - Children's

  • Proven experience as a Social Worker within children's services (ID=1000087)
  • Qualified social work degree and HCPC registration
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases
  • Compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable children and families
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation
