Job Description As a Social Worker within the Fostering Team, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure safe, stable, and high quality care for children and young people. You will work collaboratively with carers, children’s social workers, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and placement stability.
Key responsibilities include:

Job Description As a Social Worker within the Fostering Team, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure safe, stable, and high quality care for children and young people. You will work collaboratively with carers, children’s social workers, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and placement stability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking foster carer assessments, reviews, and supervision
- Supporting and developing foster carers through regular visits and supervision
- Completing Form F assessments (where required)
- Contributing to fostering panel reports and reviews
- Ensuring compliance with fostering regulations, standards, and policies
- Working closely with children’s social workers to support placements
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and high quality case records
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Recent experience working within a Fostering or Looked After Children service
- Sound knowledge of fostering regulations and safeguarding legislation
- Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship?building skills
- The right to work in the UK
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 3 month ongoing contract
