Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Lancashire County Council for an experienced Team Manager to lead a Family Safeguarding and Child Protection Team on a temporary ongoing basis.
Job Description As Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, management, and professional oversight to a team of Social Workers and practitioners working within Family Safeguarding and Child Protection. You will ensure high quality practice, effective decision making, and compliance with statutory duties to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Job Description As Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, management, and professional oversight to a team of Social Workers and practitioners working within Family Safeguarding and Child Protection. You will ensure high quality practice, effective decision making, and compliance with statutory duties to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing, supervising, and supporting Social Workers and practitioners
- Providing professional oversight of Child Protection, Child in Need, and safeguarding cases
- Ensuring assessments, plans, and interventions meet statutory standards and timescales
- Chairing team meetings and contributing to strategy discussions
- Supporting staff through reflective supervision and performance management
- Managing risk and quality assuring casework
- Working closely with senior management and partner agencies
- Contributing to service improvement and safeguarding outcomes
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Significant post qualifying experience within Family Safeguarding / Child Protection
- Previous experience in a Team Manager or Senior Practitioner role
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and thresholds
- Proven leadership, risk management, and decision making skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 3?month ongoing contract
