Year 4 Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Location: Preston

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Contract: Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston for an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential while working closely with the class teacher in a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role As a Year 4 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and raise attainment.
• Assisting pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Helping to create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Preparing classroom resources and supporting daily classroom activities.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social and emotional development.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Previous experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 4.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.

Desirable

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
