Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Specialist Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Mental Health Trust. The successful candidate will support across the Inpatient Wards at Chase Farm Hospital providing care to Adults. The duration of the contract is for 12-weeks with the likelihood of extension.
Job Purpose: Band 7 Clinical Psychologist
Pay Rate: Negotiable + £150 Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Contract: Full-time / 37.5 Hours per week (part-time also being considered)
The post holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team and will provide a range of assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the systematic provision of specialist psychology services to adults with complex and acute mental health difficulties across the acute care pathway.
- To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions taking substantial professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement in own professional practice.
- To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking audit, research and development activities relevant to the service area.
- To be regularly responsible for providing training placements for trainee clinical psychologists in this specialism.
- To supervise and support the psychological therapy provided by other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- To manage the planning and direction of the psychological therapy group programme and to take part in delivering group psychological therapy.
