The Role
Key purpose of the role is to lead a small team of surveyors and manage responsive repairs contracts, ensuring ISHA residents receive high-quality, value-for-money repairs and maintenance services. The postholder will ensure excellent customer experience, positive outcomes, and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing performance and delivery of responsive repairs and planned works contracts.
- Pre- and post-inspection of works to assess quality, value for money, and tenant satisfaction.
- Leading on disrepair cases, resident complaints, and void property management.
- Approving payments, resolving contractor disputes, and ensuring procurement compliance.
- Supporting and developing team members, overseeing section 20 notifications and resident consultations.
To be considered for this role you will require:
- Chartered Surveyor status (RICS or CIOB) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Substantial experience in building defect diagnosis, project management, and contractor supervision.
- A strong working knowledge of building construction, maintenance techniques, and contract law.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working in the housing sector, particularly with repairs and voids.
- Strong IT and organisational skills, including use of asset management systems.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to £56,195 p/a + benefits.
