Job description: CAMHS Support Worker, Band 4, Surrey.

Vacancy for a Band 4 Mental Health Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team, treating children and young persons, based in Redhill.

Working as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team the post holder will be responsible for assisting in the provision of therapies for young persons. The role is to support clinicians to hold patients in the community while waiting for treatment.

Individual and group work skills are required. Other useful skills would include; Life skills coaching and behavioural activation, helping young people to get out of the home and set incremental goals to improve wellbeing. High quality care and ensuring standards are the highest possible, are crucial.

The ideal candidate will have an awareness of treatment outcomes, recovery tools, care planning, assessment of risk and have experience in a health or social care setting

Candidates will ideally have an NVQ Level 4 in care or equivalent OR have two years (minimum) working experience in a mental health setting. The candidate must also be a care driver.

The role is to commence ASAP, working Monday - Friday 9-5.
The hourly rate for the role is £13.00 p/h ltd.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a caseload, and to be able to work to complex care plans that can be used to aid patient recovery. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.
