Children & Families Lawyer
About the Role
A Local authoirty based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Children & Families Lawyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the Private Law Principal Lawyer, holding a complex caseload of private law matters, including Judicial Review.
The Children & Families Lawyer will be expected to attend remote hearings in connection with private law matters and deal with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota.
The role is a contract position and is expected to last for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputising for Private Law Principal Lawyer
- Holding a complex caseload of private law matters, including Judicial Review
- Attending remote hearings in connection with private law matters
- Dealing with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
- Experience in Children & Families Law
- Experience in Judicial Review
- Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
