Children’s Home Manager – Permanent Position
Location: Wisbech
Salary: £45,000
Bonuses: £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus + On-call Payments

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Children’s Home Manager to lead a well-established three-bed residential home in Wisbech. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and compassionate leader to join a fully staffed team in a home rated “Good” by Ofsted, supporting three young girls with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Role Overview The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, a passion for high-quality care, and a proven track record in managing EBD homes. With no current staff vacancies and a stable team in place, this role offers the chance to focus on building meaningful relationships and driving continued excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding care and ensure excellent outcomes for young people
  • Oversee daily operations and contribute to the strategic development of the home
  • Lead a dedicated team and work collaboratively with external professionals
  • Act as a positive role model, fostering trust and long-term growth
  • Manage staff rotas, training (QCF Level 3), appraisals, and performance reviews
  • Oversee service development, budgeting, and financial performance
  • Ensure safeguarding and promote the wellbeing of all residents
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting
  • Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
  • Strong understanding of The Children Act 1989 and Children’s Home Regulations
  • Proven experience in budget and financial management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to provide on-call support
