Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Communication Team Lead to join a Lifestyle Activity Team based in Preston.

Pay: £15.00ph PAYE

Contract: 15 hours per week across 3 days

The client is a long-established specialist supported living and residential provider supporting adults with severe learning and physical disabilities.

The main is to enable people to have the most fulfilling life possible; supported with respect, caring attitudes and understanding. This includes enabling them to enjoy activities such as swimming, cycling, carriage riding, yoga and much more.

We are looking for someone to help facilitate these activities through training and support regarding their communication. So, if you genuinely want to make a difference, and can see the person rather than the disability we'd love to hear from you.

Daily Duties:

  • Revise and enhance communication guides, one-page profiles, and behaviour support plans.
  • Plan and execute communication and activity training in services, including overseeing the signing group.
  • Supervise care goals within our services.
  • Provide support for communication and lifestyle input during annual client reviews.
  • Monitor activities and ensure accurate record-keeping, including writing comprehensive reviews.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with people who have severe learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities.
  • Proficient understanding of the communication requirements for individuals with severe learning disabilities.
  • Familiarity with person-centred approaches and positive behaviour support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of autism.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements outlined by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written English at an A-Level standard.
  • Possession of a PTLLS or equivalent level three teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Strong IT and organisational skills, coupled with a flexible and creative mindset.
  • A valid driver's license is essential for commuting between three service locations.
