Community Psychiatric Nurse – NHS Nottingham
Location: Nottingham
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Rate: £27 Ltd / £21.71 PAYE (excluding holiday pay)

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an NHS team based in Nottingham.

Role Overview:
This is a full-time position within a community mental health team, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, conducting assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Administer medication and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during acute episodes
  • Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NHS standards
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and service development initiatives
Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
  • Previous experience working in a community mental health setting
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and mental health legislation
