Contracts Manager

A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join their repairs team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for the effective procurement, implementation, management, and contractual

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • involve the identification of future contract requirements and resolution of any contractual performance or compliance issues with those delivering services to this area of the business.
  • act as lead within the Property Repairs service in respect of all contracts to facilitate delivery of the overall Property Repairs service.
  • identify and facilitate contracts being put into operation for all aspects of service delivery support required within the Property Repairs service, including negotiations on awards, renewals and extensions.
  • ensure the appropriate contract documentation and KPI's are in place to support contract delivery including insurances and risk assessments as necessary.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to be Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a business-related qualification and have at least two years' experience of working in a contract environment.

It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:

  • Experience in monitoring, analysis, and reporting on all aspects of financial and performance data and to maintain accurate auditable records.
  • Ability to negotiate and build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Understands the importance of developing and coaching staff to unlock potential and harness talent management.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £25.55 per hour Umbrella Ltd.
