A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a Hampshire-based Council for a Corporate Compliance Manager to lead on all statutory building compliance across both housing and corporate assets. This is a newly created post, offering the right candidate the chance to shape and embed a high-performing compliance function across a diverse property portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead compliance strategy and operations for over 3,000 HRA dwellings and 500+ corporate assets
- Manage teams across all key compliance areas, including:
- Gas servicing & repairs
- Fire safety & risk assessments
- Asbestos management
- Water quality (including acting as Responsible/Deputy Person)
- Lift and M&E servicing
- Building H&S compliance
- Oversee all mechanical & electrical service and repair contracts
- Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and reporting systems
- Ensure documentation is accurate, auditable, and stored appropriately
- Drive continual improvement to achieve and maintain 100% compliance across service areas
- Lead procurement and management of strategic compliance contracts and frameworks
- Liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance activity supports wider service delivery
- Provide strategic and operational advice across Property Services and the wider council
- Proven experience in a senior compliance, building services, or property management role within a housing or public sector context
- Excellent knowledge of statutory compliance across multiple building safety disciplines
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and contract management skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of budgetary control
- Ability to horizon scan for industry and legislative changes
- Full UK driving licence – casual user car allowance available
- Flexible working offered – minimum 3 days on-site per week
