Contracts Manager

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority based in Southampton who are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team. This is on an ongoing contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to support the development and delivery of a high quality Contract and Commercial planned maintenance service strategy that enable the council to meet its business objectives, and meet the needs of all internal users and other stakeholders ensuring that all policies, standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and statutory requirements are met.

To manage the work of the Contracts team operations including staff, contractors, suppliers, within council policies and procedures, to meet the aims and objectives of the business / service. This includes working closely with the Housing Investment Team, Housing Management Team and Tenant Representatives to identify and deliver cost effective solutions to maximise available resources in improving the condition of the Council's housing stock. To promote and enable new areas of business and maintain qualitative standards within commercial work areas.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Proven experience of planned maintenance projects, ideally within a local authority.
