Service Care Solutions is working alongside a highly regarded law firm, based in the Warwickshire area, which is seeking a qualified and experienced Criminal Duty Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, including police station attendances, Magistrates’ Court advocacy, and general criminal defence work.
 
Role: Criminal Duty Solicitor
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 (plus overtime with potential earnings between £60,000 to £80,000)
Location: Warwickshire area
 
Key Responsibilities of the Duty Solicitor role:
  • Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ Courts and, where appropriate, Crown Courts.
  • Attend and manage Criminal Legal Aid Duty Solicitor rota slots.
  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice and advocacy to clients.
  • Contribute to the growth of the department through your own client following or business development, if applicable.
Requirements:
  • A qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive in England and Wales.
  • Current accreditation as a Duty Solicitor (LAA Crime Category 1 Supervisor status desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness to work out-of-hours duty slots on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
