Service Care Legal are recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a local authority in the South London region. As an Employment and Education Lawyer, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation to our throughout the council on employment and education-related matters.

ROLE: Employment Lawyer
LOCATION: South London
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per week
RATE: £50ph LTD (£44.51ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £39.72ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)

Please note that this would require opffice attendance once per fortnight.

The Role

Provide high-quality legal advice and representation on employment and education-related matters
Advise on changes in legislation and case law that may impact our organization
Represent our organization in courts, tribunals, and inquiries
Liaise with professional bodies, research institutions, and external organizations
Maintain effective relationships with client departments and senior officers

Role Requirements

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX
Relevant experience working in employment and education law, preferably in local government
Significant specialism in depth knowledge in employment and education law
Experience of conducting complex cases with minimal supervision
Experience of supervising and managing junior staff
