Job Description
A Local Authority based in Warwickshire is looking for a Head of Audit & Governance to join the team on an initial 6 Month contract to have full operational and managerial responsibility for the Audit and Governance section with the council and the Internal Audit and Counter Fraud Section with a partnering council.
The post holder will work with the Executive Director (Resources) to ensure that the Unit achieves excellence in its services to customers both internal and external.
The post holder will assist in the production of the Finance and Procurement Business Plans and prepare the annual audit plan.

Ideal Candidate
- Member of CCAB Accountancy body
- Significant experience with Local Authority auditing at a senior level
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience of managing junior staff
- Excellent project management skills and presentation skills
