JOB TITLE: Housing Health and Social Care Manager
LOCATION: Bournemouth
CONTRACT TYPE: Temp
WEEKLY HOURS: 37 Hours
WORK PATTERN: Mon - Fri (9am-5pm)
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will provide the strategic oversight of all refugee resettlement in the Bournemouth area including the UK Resettlement Programme and be the single point of contact for Southwest Councils and the Home Office.
RESPONSABILTIES:

  • Linking in with senior officers for relevant departments and agencies including Education, Adults and Children's Social Care, Communities, Police, Health partners and third sector organisations, co-ordinating the local response.
  • Developing policies and ways of working across disciplines considering Government guidance and local demands of the resettlement programmes. Undertaking referrals and assessments of potential clients, working with them to identify the most appropriate housing solution for their needs.
  • Budget responsibility for directing, resource and monitor the delivery of the resettlement schemes working closely with our contracted providers, voluntary sector, and Finance.
  • Ensure an effective partnership strategy for identifying and addressing the needs of refugees with a range of needs including safeguarding and community challenges.



EXPERIENCE:

  • In-depth knowledge of housing policy and practice, including housing needs, adult and children's social care, health, and safeguarding.
  • Proven structured and strategic approach with excellent project and programme management skills.
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience for management of multi-disciplinary staff teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills to communicate with high level audiences and tenant groups.


Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check.
