Temporary Join a local authority in Newham as a Housing Liaison Team Leader and help lead a high-performing team delivering vital frontline housing management services across the borough. THE ROLE
As Housing Liaison Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Housing Liaison Officers and Resident Service Officers, ensuring the delivery of effective, customer-focused housing services. You’ll support community engagement, manage multi-tenure housing stock, and uphold service excellence across neighbourhood and tenancy management.
  • Lead and motivate a team, managing performance, training and development
  • Oversee tenancy and leasehold management, including assignments, successions and terminations
  • Respond to and resolve escalated resident enquiries and formal complaints
  • Monitor and address antisocial behaviour in partnership with enforcement teams
  • Ensure estate inspections, surgeries, and community engagement initiatives are delivered
  • Provide cover for senior managers and contribute to service planning
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing within your team
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar team leader role within housing services, ideally in a local authority setting, with a strong commitment to customer service and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate housing officers
  • Experience in neighbourhood, tenancy, and leasehold management
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and safeguarding procedures
  • Skilled in handling ASB, legal proceedings, and multi-agency partnership work
  • Able to confidently lead estate inspections, resident meetings, and community events
THE CONTRACT
Full Time
Temporary
RATE: The pay for the role is £27.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £23.02 per hour, inclusive of holiday. HOW TO APPLY
