Housing Management Coordinator (Older People's Service)
12-week Contract

Our client is seeking a dedicated Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Watford. This role focuses on overseeing a range of housing management functions in an older people's service, including repairs, arrears, voids, wellbeing and welfare checks, and maintenance. The position is based on one site, covering both supported and leasehold services. While a driving license is preferential, it is not essential.

Housing Management Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

Repairs and Maintenance:

  • Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure timely and high-quality work.

Arrears and Voids Management:

  • Manage rent arrears by monitoring payments and implementing recovery actions where necessary.
  • Handle void properties, including coordinating the re-letting process and ensuring minimal void periods.

Wellbeing and Welfare Checks:

  • Conduct regular wellbeing and welfare checks to ensure residents are safe and supported.
  • Provide assistance and support to residents, addressing any concerns or needs.

General Housing Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all housing management activities.
  • Foster a supportive community environment and address any issues that arise promptly and effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in housing management, particularly within an older people's service.
  • Strong understanding of housing management functions, including repairs, arrears, voids, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents and external partners.
  • Experience in conducting welfare and wellbeing checks.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of supported and leasehold housing services.
  • A full driving license (preferential but not essential).

The Package
This is a temporary, Housing Management Coordinator role, for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
