We’re currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer to join a proactive and supportive team delivering tenancy and estate management services within a dynamic housing organisation.
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you’ll be the face of your community – a key frontline professional providing a practical, visible and customer-focused service to residents. You’ll support sustainable tenancies, respond to housing and community concerns, and work closely with partner agencies to deliver safer, stronger neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a proactive and highly visible neighbourhood and tenancy management service
- Address tenancy breaches and antisocial behaviour through support or enforcement
- Manage void properties in your patch and work to reduce re-let times
- Conduct welcome visits, risk assessments and identify safeguarding concerns
- Support the allocation of properties by working with lettings services
- Liaise with tenant and resident groups to address local priorities
- Participate in estate inspections and ensure communal areas meet required standards
- Refer and signpost residents to support services as needed
- Maintain excellent records and contribute to multi-agency work to support communities
- Previous experience in social housing, estate or tenancy management, or community safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach
- Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively
- Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Positive, flexible attitude with the ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding, housing legislation and equality & diversity
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the local area
