Location: Berkshire

Job Type: Temporary Fixed Term (3 Months - likely to be extended)

Salary: £450 LTD per day - 36 hour week

Job Description:

A Local Authority based in Berkshire is looking for a temporary Procurement & Contracts Manager to manage the service team that provides procurement and contract management advice, guidance, and support to procuring and contracting services of the Council. The post holder will manage a team of procurement professionals in the delivery of the Council's Procurement Strategy, operate the Council's Procurement Centre of Excellence and provide technical assurance and develop internal standards, policies and procedures within the specialist/category area.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • MCIPS desirable or relevant qualification
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Effective strategy and report writing skills
  • Experience within a political or local authority background desirable
  • Experience as a commercial manager, procurement manager, contract manager or senior professional in those areas
