Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in Manchester is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to fulfil a commercial position within the service area and will be required to manage the commercial elements of allocated construction projects taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Drive the development of a strategic approach to resource planning, procurement, and commissioning in order to deliver a cost-effective and efficient service.
  • Identify, recommend, and develop solutions for improvement to commercial and commissioning activity.
  • Support the development of a consistent and coherent development strategy for services to improve outcomes.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require:

  • Holds a qualification (e.g., BSc, MSc) in quantity surveying.
  • Willing to undertake or working towards or holds full membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g., MRICS).

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £39 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
