Location: Various locations around Luton
Contract Type: Various shift patterns (7-day rota, shifts change weekly)
Salary: £17 umbrella an hour (£13 PAYE an hour)
Duration: Initially 3 months

Luton Borough Council is seeking compassionate and motivated Reablement Support Workers to join their Adult Social Care team. This is a fulfilling role that enables people to live as independently as possible after illness or hospital discharge, through personalised short-term support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal, practical and rehabilitative support tailored to individual care plans

  • Carry out therapeutic activities and skills practice to build confidence and daily living ability

  • Help service users improve and maintain mobility and independence

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, while also managing responsibilities independently

  • Support across a flexible 7-day rota, with shifts varying week to week

About You: We’re looking for individuals who are committed to high-quality care and can adapt to the varied needs of service users.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working unsupervised within a care team

  • Previous experience in a reablement service or similar environment

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
