Residential Support Worker

Job Description


Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a private client for a Residential Support Worker to join their growing team


This company provide a safe, home-from-home residential setting for young people, aged between 7-17 who have behavioural difficulties


The young people are at the core of what they do and they actively encourage them to play a part in making decisions which affect the running of the home, encouraging them to have a voice and empower them to use it


The greatest thing about this role is that you do not need any experience, they hire based on personality and people that will fit into the team culture

What you will do:

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children/young people
  • Promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home
  • Provide a positive role model for the young people
  • Work with young people on intervention strategies to promote pro-social behaviour.



What you need:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues, outside agencies, children and families
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Be able to use your own initiative
  • An understanding the principles of safeguarding and child protection
