Location - Coalville LE67

Contract - Temp 8 weeks

Hours - 36.25

Role summary - The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor to join their dynamic Human Resources team. This role is critical in supporting and actioning day-to-day people-related issues, including recruitment and retention, performance management, employee onboarding, absence management and support, trade union liaison, organisation design, grievance, and disciplinary management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR support for Heads of Service and managers, ensuring the operational delivery of service functions.
  • Support effective consultation processes and encourage a culture focused on council tenants and customers.
  • Provide advisory support in meetings and investigations covering attendance, performance, grievance, and disciplinary situations.
  • Maintain an awareness of best HR practices and professional developments.
  • Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Assist in change management processes and support other members of the HR team as needed.


  • Qualified to at least CIPD level 5
  • Demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong people skills
  • Tenacity and drive to achieve good solutions for complex HR cases
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good analytical ability
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
