Liverpool City Council is looking to appoint a compassionate and proactive Social Care Assessor to join our Adult Social Care and Health Directorate. This role plays a vital part in delivering strength-based, person-centred social care, promoting wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes for adults with care and support needs.

About the Role:
As a Social Care Assessor, you will:
  • Manage a varied caseload using strength-based approaches
  • Carry out social care assessments, support planning, and reviews
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, carers, health professionals and other stakeholders
  • Ensure care planning reflects individual outcomes and is aligned with statutory duties
  • Contribute to safeguarding, risk assessments, and mental capacity evaluations
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in adult social care or related settings
  • Ability to deliver assessments and support planning with empathy and clarity
  • Strong organisational, communication and partnership-working skills
  • Understanding of adult care legislation and safeguarding practices
  • IT competence and a commitment to equality, diversity, and customer care
Desirable (but not essential):
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or Promoting Independence
  • Experience with multicultural communities and budget monitoring
