Support Worker

Job Description

I am currently recruiting a Support Worker to work within a Learning Disabilities Residential Supported Living Service.

The service will support young Males soon to be moving into two brand new supported living homes in Trafford. They have a variety of behaviour challenges and complex needs including autism, epilepsy, communication and mobility challenges. Like most young men, they enjoy being out and having un, they would love support from someone with shared interests and energetic hobbies, such as bike riding, badminton, swimming and going to the cinema.

The client provides a highly personalised service with individuals and their families being involved in preferences and care. You will be supporting the individuals to live their lives how they choose and to support them achieve their goals. You will support with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry


Service Hours: Monday - Sunday [the service offers 24/7 support]
Working Hours: Full Time [37.5 hours per week]
Contract: 3 months (+ongoing / temporary to permanent)


Pay:

  • £11.64p/hr (Ltd) Days
  • £12.14p/hr (Ltd) Nights and Saturdays
  • £16.14/hr (Ltd) Bank Holidays
  • £60 per sleep


Person specification:
The applicant must have previous experience working within learning disabilities and/or mental health. The applicant must be willing to complete practical Manual Handling and BLS refresher course where required. It would be beneficial if the applicant holds a transferable DBS.
