Team Leader - Day Service

Wirral council are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join their Adults Day Care service to cover a maternity period. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting the Day Care Service Manager in the service delivery and staffing within a day care setting. You will also be the operational lead for all staffing and delivery requirements pertaining to the day care location the postholder is based at.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist Manager in ensuring maintenance of recognised quality standards.
  • Be the operational lead for all staffing and delivery requirements pertaining to the day care location the postholder is based at.
  • Ensure appropriate involvement of people, their families and carers in design, delivery and reviewing of service provision.
  • Provide a flexible and person-centred response to people we support and their families.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to service users.
  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff to ensure the effective delivery of care.
  • Provide support and guidance to care staff as required.
  • Provide effective support to people who use the service through person centred care planning.

Key Requirements

  • Health and Social Care Qualification at level 3 or equivalent
  • Understanding of the role of management in a social care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the care sector and relevant legislation and regulations
  • Must be flexible and willing to work across day care locations as and when required.
