We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable provider for an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new 10-bed residential rehabilitation service in Halifax, West Yorkshire. 📍 Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours per week (4-week rolling rota)
💷 Salary: £29,000 per annum

🌱 About the Service:
This brand-new residential setting offers a step-down service for men with mental health needs, supporting individuals over a period of 18 to 24 months as they transition from hospital care to independent living. The focus is on building life skills, increasing access to education and employment, and promoting emotional wellbeing and resilience.

👥 The Role: The Mental Health Services Team Leader will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with the management team to deliver safe, high-quality, and person-centred care. You’ll support and guide staff, ensure compliance with care standards, and help residents achieve their personal goals.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, support, and supervision to care staff
  • Promote recovery-focused, person-centred support
  • Ensure high standards of care planning, risk management, and documentation
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, budgets, and petty cash
  • Support staff training, appraisals, and recruitment processes
  • Oversee health and safety, infection control, and incident reporting
  • Attend reviews and liaise with families and external professionals
  • Participate in the on-call rota and step in for management when required

✅ Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12-24 months’ experience working in a UK mental health or residential care setting at a senior level (essential)
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and clinical governance
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A recovery-focused, person-centred approach to care
  • Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship options available

📅 Shift Pattern – 4-Week Rolling Rota: Week 1: Mon–Wed: 9am–5pm | Fri: 6am–2pm | Sat: 9am–5pm
Weeks 2 & 3: Mon–Tues: 9am–5pm | Wed: 2pm–10pm | Thurs–Fri: 9am–5pm
Week 4: Mon–Tues: 9am–5pm | Wed: 7am–3pm | Thurs: 12pm–8pm | Fri: 9am–5pm
