Role summary -

This company is a well-established organisation that provides high-quality bereavement services to the public. They are seeking an experienced Administrator to join their Human Resources team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all administrative tasks as required to ensure the services are effective and running smoothly
  • Book burials, cremations, and memorial services, including the processing of payments
  • Undertake basic financial tasks to prepare accounts and income summaries, raise purchase orders
  • Responsible for the administration, positioning, and installation of memorials, memorabilia, and the memorial safety programme
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance, including cleaning of memorials
  • Perform operation and daily checks of vehicles
  • Carry out witnessed and unwitnessed scatterings of cremated remains and release cremated remains to families, friends, and Funeral Directors
  • Act as chapel attendant providing assistance as required to play music and visual images in chapel using web-based multi-media systems, compact disks, recorded digital mediums, and slide show presentations, ensuring the needs of the bereaved are met during the funeral service
  • Display public information including the order of service and flower identification cards
  • Clean customer-facing and back office areas as per schedule and as required

Requirements:

  • Experience of office systems including Microsoft Word, & Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and information systems
  • Experience of working within a team environment
  • Ability to use excellent communication skills both written and oral, responding in a professional manner
  • Ability to manage own workload and effectively plan and manage a wide range of work simultaneously with resilience to follow through and complete agreed actions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy in all matters
