Brokerage assistant

I am currently recruiting for a brokerage assistant to work in Hackney.

This role is initially for three months.

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Senior Brokerage Manager, the post-holder will have a key role in developing and maintaining databases to support the Brokerage function. This will require close working with a wide range of Care Providers, Voluntary Organisations and Service Users. The Brokerage Assistant will ensure that information about individual placements, support packages and related costs is recorded accurately on information systems and disseminated to the relevant providers and social work/health professionals The post-holder will be a member of the Commissioning Team and will support Brokerage Officers to source, arrange and amend packages of care, placements in residential and nursing homes and supported living services. This may involve regularly dealing with complex and/or contentious issues. The Brokerage Assistant will follow the policies and procedures set out for the Brokerage Team to ensure that appropriate standards are met and value for money achieved in the procurement and delivery of services. This will include ensuring that all placements are facilitated within the Council's Standing Orders.
