Operations Manager (Older Peoples Services & Managed Supported Accommodation)
Location: London, Bethnal Green E3 (hybrid working available)
Contract Type: 13 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week
Salary : £ 52,300

A new opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of a comprehensive tenancy management service for a bespoke older persons schemes. You will work closely with property and estate services colleagues to ensure there is a joined-up approach to managing housing, estates and property related request.

Main tasks and duties -

  • Ensuring the delivery of a high performing, customer focused service to older customers
  • Ensuring the provision of comprehensive housing management service
  • Assistance in the coordination of supported services
  • Ensuring Customer engagement and involvement
  • Deliver effective leadership and performance management of the team
  • Working with the Heads Service and other colleagues to develop, and continuously improve performance across all KPI's and resident satisfaction
  • To manage, monitor and evaluate service activity, delivery and progress against key milestones and cost effectiveness
  • stakeholder engagement both externally and internally
  • contract management of agents providing services



Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant experience of housing and services for older persons
  • Housing management experience across a variety of tenures
  • Change management experience of both people and processes
  • Investigating and resolving complaints across a variety of areas
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary staff / team, including staff who are based remotely and dispersed
  • Performance management including target setting, monitoring, and identifying improvement processes
  • Budget setting and financial management
  • Working in a role that achieves successful outcomes in the delivery of services that meet customer needs
  • Up to date and relevant knowledge of Older people's services, safeguarding, Housing and relevant legislation e.g., welfare benefits, care and support. and how these affect the services provided
  • Performance driven with initiative to analyse and assess complex situations and make decisions quickly and effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
