Job Title: Registered Manager

Responsible To: Operations Manager

Salary Range: £38,000+ (Dependent on qualifications, experience, registration & occupancy)

Position Type: Full-time (40 hours/week plus additional hours as needed)

Location: Selly Oak x1, Cotteridge x1

We are seeking 2 dedicated and experienced Registered Managers to lead a children's residential home. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people. If you have a strong background in residential care, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for making a difference in young lives, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or equivalent (as per Regulation 28 of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015)
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years
  • Minimum 1 year supervising and managing professional staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfil the role of Registered Manager as defined by the Care Standards Act
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Manage admissions, discharges, and care plans
  • Lead and support staff, ensuring regular appraisals and training
  • Monitor and manage budgets and expenditures
  • Maintain the home's environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met
  • Participate in the on-call system

  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities
  • Experience with adolescent and challenging behaviour
  • Reliable, trustworthy, with a good attendance record
