Site Manager

Job Description

A local authority based in Staffordshire looking for a Site Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate will have a full SMSTS qualification, experience in a similar role and will be immediately available.

The main purpose of the role is to provide holiday cover for 3 planned works sites with an initial handover provided. Scope of works between sites are alike, although not limited to, Roof covering renewal, EWI installation, Asbestos removal & General building Works.

The applicant must be competent in managing subcontractors as all works are via Sub Contract arrangements. Line manager will be available during period however applicants must be self sufficient in their employment.

The main accountabilities associated with the role are as follows;

Deal with trade management on site so that the workforce is motivated and directed so as to maintain output and adhere to standards.
Exercise discipline on site, taking the appropriate action with regard to any disciplinary issues that may arise, e.g. punctuality, standards of appearance, standards of behaviour, disputes, compliance and adherence to Health & Safety Standards and policy etc.
Accurate records to be kept for all such issues as and when they occur and the Head of Construction Services to be informed.
Have a commercial understanding of the project, advising and implementing cost savings at all times, and represent the client in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, the project.
Produce weekly and monthly reports in excel and word, updating progress data report weekly.

The successful candidate will need the following;

SMSTS, Driving Licence, Residential Repairs experience.

The client is looking to appoint quickly to this role and as such are willing to offer £20 p/hr Umbrella Ltd (approx. £520 p/week NET after deductions).
