✨ Now Hiring: Social Work Assistant – Seaham, County Durham ✨

📍 Location: Seaham, with flexibility to work from other offices across County Durham
⏳ Contract: 3 months initially, potential for extension
🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week

If you have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, this could be the role for you. We’re looking for a caring and dedicated Social Work Assistant to join our team, supporting children in care to maintain important family relationships and better understand their personal journeys.

🔹 Your Role Will Include:
  • Supervising family time between children in care and their relatives, ensuring sessions are safe, purposeful, and supportive.
  • Helping with administrative tasks such as completing Strengths and Difficulty Questionnaires (SDQs) with carers and updating children’s dental/health records.
  • Delivering life story work to help children make sense of their experiences and histories.
🔹 About You:
  • Professional experience working directly with children is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with families.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel across the County Durham area required).
