🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week

We’re looking for a caring and dedicated Social Work Assistant to join our team, supporting children in care to maintain important family relationships and better understand their personal journeys.
🔹 Your Role Will Include:
- Supervising family time between children in care and their relatives, ensuring sessions are safe, purposeful, and supportive.
- Helping with administrative tasks such as completing Strengths and Difficulty Questionnaires (SDQs) with carers and updating children’s dental/health records.
- Delivering life story work to help children make sense of their experiences and histories.
- Professional experience working directly with children is essential.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with families.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel across the County Durham area required).
