Social Worker

Lancashire County Council are currently seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment team in Preston and South Ribble. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for working with children and young people, enabling you to make a positive difference in their lives.

The Role

As a Social Worker, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and managing risk to children and young people
  • Planning and delivering interventions to support children and their families
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing reports
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies

The Requirements

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification
  • 12+ months experience as a Social Worker
  • The ability to manage a caseload of between 15 and 22 (depending on the function)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
