Job description: Targeted Youth Worker needed for Slough Borough Council, £14 - 18 per hour

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 6-8 weeks initially
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - £14-18 per hour

Location - Slough

Description
*To engage with young people aged 11 to 19, and up to 25 with additional needs who require planned support above what can be delivered by universal services such as schools
*To create and deliver outcome focused care plans to ensure timely support and coordinate interventions from other services when necessary to meet the young person's needs
*To provide information, advice and guidance to young people in relation to a range of issues

What is required?
*Engaging young people from different backgrounds with particular emphasis on the more vulnerable
*Working with partners, such as schools, the police or the voluntary sector, to deliver integrated services to young people
*Planning and delivering support packages for young people with complex needs and evaluating young people's outcomes
*Relevant professional qualification that grants full professional status in working with young people such as JNC recognised degree in Youth Work, Personal Advisor at level 4 or above. Social Worker, Youth Counsellor or other related profession
*Full driving license and access to a car or willingness to travel around Slough using public transport
