Building Control Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in the Southwest is currently recruiting for a Building Control Surveyor (Class 3H Registered) to join their Building Control team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Building Control environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to deliver expert building control services, ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards across the Southwest boundary.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Carrying out inspections and assessments on developments across Bristol.
• Providing professional advice to developers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Participating in the Dangerous Structures Rota Duty (DSRD).
• Supporting, training, and mentoring colleagues where required.
• Using asset management and inspection systems to record and monitor compliance.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:

• Demonstrable Building Control experience.
• Valid registration with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) at Class 3H.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Excellent technical knowledge of building regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work flexibly – both independently and as part of a team.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £62,669 per annum + £3,000 call-out allowance
